GSMH receives $30,000 donation from the United Way of Central Missouri
Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland recently announced a $30,000 donation from the United Way of Central Missouri. The donation will accelerate Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland’s mission to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
The United Way of Central Missouri’s gift to Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland will enable Girl Scouts to expand their investment in girls and advance the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Their generous donation is dedicated to Girl Scouts residing in their service's primary counties that align with the Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland jurisdiction. Counties impacted by the generosity of their organization are Camden, Cole, Maries, Miller, Moniteau, Morgan, Osage, Phelps, and Southern Callaway.
- This donation will allow Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland to provide financial assistance for Girl Scout memberships to qualifying members and girls interested in joining Girl Scouts.
- For Girl Scouts in these counties, Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland will be able to provide troop support, background checks for volunteers, and various program experiences.
