Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland is thrilled to announce that Grace Wagner is the Gold Award Girl Scout from Linn, Missouri for her extraordinary action addressing the accessibility of all citizens to Lions Club Fairgrounds.
When Grace found out about the need for a new bridge in her community, she struck at the chance to make a change. She worked with Linn Lions Club to build a new bridge for her community’s park. The purpose of this new and improved bridge is to improve public safety in the park and give people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to cross. Grace removed the old bridge and reinstalled the new bridge which has reflective tape near the entrances and exits for the safety of all citizens. Grace wants the people benefiting from the new bridge to know “I am thinking about them and their ease of getting around.” She chose this project to allow everyone equal access at the Linn Lions club park. It is Girl Scouts like Grace that inspire us to see an issue in our community and step up to the plate to make an everlasting change!
