Volunteers and Girl Scouts can use the Digital Cookie Mobile App to process and review orders placed through the troop site and individual girl site. Users will start by downloading the Digital Cookie Mobile App from the iTunes or Google Play Store. Note: Users should download a new version of the app every year.
Once downloaded, the same email and password used to access Digital Cookie is the same to log into the mobile app. The app will only work if the Troop’s Digital Cookie website is set up and approved, on or after February 1—and will work through March 30.
Setting Up
Adults who will be accompanying girls at Cookie Booths should download the Digital Cookie app before the day of the booth so that they can accept credit card payments.
- Download the app now from the Google Play store or the iTunes store.
- Caregivers and volunteers must have completed their initial log in and registration through the Digital Cookie website and published their girl's and troop's site to have access to the app and payment features.
- The troop must have their Troop Cookie Link set up and published to be able to take credit card orders as a troop.
- Cookie Booths must be approved in Smart Cookies to show up in Digital Cookie to be able to accept booth payments.
Accepting Payments
Follow the steps below to process credit card payments at Cookie Booths and in person sales.
- Open the Digital Cookie app and log in.
- Select whether the order is being processed under a Girl Scout or through the troop. For booths you must select the troop, if you do not see the troop do not proceed.
- Select 'New Cookie Order.'
- Use the - and + buttons to enter number of packages of each variety for the purchase.
- Select 'Give cookies to customer now,' then 'Review Order.'
- Have the customer place their card on the sales table or in a box.
- 'Scan Card' and use the phone’s camera to capture the card information. Note: Screenshots are disabled when in this mode and this does not actually take a picture of the card.
- Select 'Place Order' and have the customer retrieve their card.
Once processed, give the customer the cookies purchased—and don't forget to say thank you!
