Be prepared to respond confidently in an emergency. Many Girl Scout activities require at least one adult volunteer to be First Aid/CPR certified, including activities outside of regular troop meetings, overnight trips, camping, and high-risk events.
This blended-learning course includes a self-paced online portion and a required in-person skills session. Taught by certified instructors, the course uses a nationally recognized American Red Cross curriculum covering how to recognize and care for adult & pediatric first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies.
Participants who complete both portions of the course will receive a two-year, OSHA-compliant American Red Cross digital certification. This course may also be used to renew an expired certification .
Requirements: Participants must have reliable internet access, an email address, the ability to complete the online coursework, and availability to attend the in-person session .
All online coursework must be completed before attending the in-person training-no exceptions!
