Travel with Friends

Do you love to explore new places and meet new people? The travel pathway may be just the thing for you! You can join other girls from around the council, around the country or around the world. If you are a Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, or Junior you can take local or regional trips, day trips or spend one or two nights away with your troop leaders.

For Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors boundless adventures await in council sponsored travel events. Each year, GSMH will offer at least one chaperoned travel opportunity. GSMH has a three-year travel plan:

Travel Chaperones Needed

We are looking for travel-savvy, girl-focused adults to serve as chaperones and first-aiders for our upcoming trips.  Chaperones must be 21 years of age or older and must complete the GSMH volunteer screening process. Costs for travel, lodging, and most meals and activities are provided by GSMH. Chaperones are expected to assist with the planning and preparation process for the trip, as well as ensuring that the girls have a safe and fun experience from departure to return; they share responsibility for helping to supervise the trip and its activities and are “on call” to respond to issues or concerns during the trip.  Apply today

Applicants may need to provide references and/or complete a brief interview. For a complete description of chaperone responsibilities or to submit your application, please contact Southwest Regional Manager Anne Hyde.
